SPONSORED BUNS BY BUNS

Would you like to help a foster rabbit AND show off your own furry friend at the same time? We hope so! For a $20.00 donation (feel free to donate more!!) you will have your rabbit's picture shown as the sponsor bun for an available foster bun. The donation will go toward the cost of the rabbit's spay or neuter. It's simple to do and a great way to help Columbus HRS foster rabbits.

Send your donation to Columbus House Rabbit Society  P.O. Box 29444  Cols, OH 43229, or donate online, and include a picture of your rabbit along with a story that you want to share. If you don't want to share a story, no problem. We will just say thank you in its place!  Then, just sit back and wait until your little thumper's face hits the web :-) For those of you that have digital cameras or scanners, you can send the picture directly to Karalee Curry.

All donations are tax-deductible and very appreciated!

Marshall

Marshall

Sponsor Bun
Matilda

Matilda

Marshall, the only male with six sibling females, is a darling little fellow. He loves to romp and play and enjoys all the favorite things of young bunnies- toys to chew and jump in and on! Marshall loves when you sit in the pen with him and likes to jump in and out of your lap. Marshall likes to stick his nose through the pen bars to say hello to Buffy and then shows off by doing his acrobatics trying to impress her! He greets you when you come into the room and eagerly awaits his plate of veggies in the evening. Marshall loves his hay and is litterbox trained. He has been neutered. After living with six sisters, this little guy is ready for a new best friend.

Matilda has enjoyed watching the babies grow up at Karalee's. She's sponsoring Marshall because he's so darn cute. Matilda hopes that Marshall finds his perfect forever home, like she has.

Foster Buns
Lacey & Brie

Sponsor Bun
Hooper

Lacey and Brie are two of Lucy's babies. Lacey (white) and Brie (spotted) are currently roommates. How they love to romp and frolic together--doing bunny-500s, leaping up and off their hidey houses, and then stretching out or snuggling. Interior decorating is their favorite pastime. Having thoroughly remodeled their cardboard hidey home, they are thrilled to be working on a new project: a willow playhouse from Busy Bunny, which badly needed windows and a back door. Naturally curious, these girls are quick to check out visitors, and you'll love to pat their super-soft coats. Lacey and Brie love greens, and they're truly amazing eaters of hay. Lacey adores banana. Both have excellent litterbox habits. They will be spayed on May 14.

Hooper (Hoopie) was adopted from CHRS. He was released outside by his previous owners. Now he lives in a home with three other buns and is quite spoiled. He seems to understand how good he has it in his new home and seems to appreciate everything he is given. He feels lucky to have a second chance at life. He wants to make sure that these babies also get a chance to be in a loving home and be spoiled like they should be.

Buffy

Sponsor Buns
Bunny and Jessie

Buffy is very curious and friendly and loves to jump in and out of your lap to play. She was paired with Marshall but they are now living side by side since they are nearing puberty. Whether on top of a cardboard box or on the floor, she will stand up on her tippy toes to make sure she knows the scoop! Buffy will come running to the front of the pen when she sees you coming and enjoys being petted. She loves to play in and and top of her cardboard boxes and does some impressive bunny flops when its time to take a nap. Buffy is very good with her litterbox and will be spayed within the next month. Is your rabbit looking for a new best friend?

Bunny and Jessie are best friends and feel very lucky that they have found each other and their forever home. They want to share their happiness by sponsoring Buffy. Jessie was even willing to groom Bunny, a rare event, just to express his good fortune!

Brook and Maddie

Sponsor Buns
Tucker and Abby

Brook and Maddie are two of Lucy's seven babies. Lucy was rescued in downtown Powell on a cold and snowy January day. She gave birth a few weeks later. The babies will be ready for adoption around the first of April.

Tucker (the black one) and his girlfriend Abby were adopted through CHRS and have now been happily bonded for 4 years. Tucker was once a baby from an unexpected litter so he knows how great life is at Karalee and Chuck’s house. Abby had a harder start but is now living in the lap of luxury. These buns are quite spoiled and are wishing the same for the babies. Tucker and Abby wish these cuties luck in finding their forever homes!

Foster Bun
Earl

Sponsor Bun
Gordon

Earl is a blue mini-rex and weighs about 4 pounds. He is in excellent health after a traumatic attack by an animal in which he lost a couple of toes and then was surrendered to a local vet clinic and ended up in CHRS foster care. Earl loves safe, indoor living and uses his litterbox regularly. He is also a very good hay eater. Earl is a spirited, inquisitive and handsome little guy with the most gorgeous grey coat you would ever want to see. His fur is downright luxurious. He loves to jump around and play and get into things, as young bunnies usually do. He is skittish at first meeting, but once he trusts you and is comfortable in his surroundings, he will stay put to let you pet him and will lick your nose. You will not want to stop petting his lovely coat! He is roughly 8 months old and has been neutered.

Gordon lives in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a mini-rex just like Earl. Gordon has been thinking about getting himself a bunny friend and he is sad that Earl lives too far away for them to meet. He thought that sponsoring Earl would be the next best thing. Gordon enjoys relaxing in his little rocking chair, eating hay on top of his cottontail cottage, and begging for any kind of food that his human friends will give him.  Most of all, Gordon likes being pet for as long as anyone is willing. He gets angry when you want to stop petting him.  He is very bossy and hopes that Earl will soon find a home where he can be bossy too.

Foster Bun
Raleigh

Sponsor Buns
Georgie & Lily

Raleigh is a delightful bunny who is thrilled to be the most recent addition in foster care. Raleigh is a sweetie and his spunky personality fills the entire room. He has a hearty appetite for pellets and greens and will dance around animatedly when it’s time to eat. He absolutely adores ‘critter berries’ and will try to grab the entire bag and run. He’s fond of doing flamboyant and spontaneous binkies and if he’s really relaxed he may even flop on his side in contentment. He has perfect litterbox habits and loves to be petted. Raleigh is a beautiful brown and rust agouti color with a cream underbelly, soft brown eyes and huge helicopter ears. He's a big boy who weighs 6-7 pounds.

We are Georgie and Lily and we are best buddies. Our Mom and Dad spoil us with our favorite treats and lots of love and pets. In the spirit of Christmas, we like would like to give Raleigh a chance to find a home and be spoiled like we are.

Josie

Sponsor Buns
Punkin

Josie is a young lionhead (less than a year) who is full of energy and funny antics. She was found in a park and is adapting to indoor life extremely well. Josie has come so far from the shy, scared bunny who was rescued just a couple weeks ago to a rabbit who can relax and kick her feet back in the company of humans. Josie is still shy about being petted but it is obvious she enjoys hanging around with people and loves to run around, show off and then flop on her side to relax. She has a healed injury that causes her to hold one of her hind paws a little funny but it doesn't stop her from running the bunny 500, springing into the air with hops of happiness or from figuring out how to climb to the highest point of the rabbit proofed room she is living in which is usually the top floor of her cottontail cottage and on occasion a dresser or a desk! Josie is very intelligent and can figure out how to get into every nook and cranny of a room and loves to have her toys and boxes arranged differently so she doesn't get bored. Her first love next to climbing however, is food and there is nothing this little girl won't do for food! All shyness is forgotten and the begging begins at the sound of a pellet bag being opened or the sound of her Critter Berry bag being shaken! Josie loves her pellets, parsley, cilantro and romaine lettuce; there is nothing she enjoys more than a good meal! She has perfect litter box habits and was spayed recently. Josie will do best in a home without dogs or young chldren. This little girl is a delight.

My name is Punkin and I live with Debbie. As my picture shows, I feel quite smug about having the opportunity to help Josie find her forever home! I wish all buns were as lucky as I am in having a wonderful home!

Molly

Sponsor Buns
Penelope

Molly is a big and beautiful 12 lb New Zealand White looking to take over your heart and home! This gal did not have the best start in life; lived at a daycare confined to a very small cage where she could not even stretch out, but believe me, she is making up for it now! Molly adores her new digs and the spaciousness of a living room and dining room to run and hang out in. She loves to stretch out by the fire and you will often find her flopped on her side, front paws in the air, sound asleep! Molly comes running to her name, will almost trip you for her pellets and salads, and just soaks up all the petting and kisses she can get! She is spayed and has fantastic litterbox habits. Molly is fabulous!

Penelope wanted to sponsor Molly because she knows what it's like to be a big beautiful white queen sized bunny. These beautiful creatures are often under appreciated and have a difficult time finding homes. But people like Penelope's mom are discovering that big white bunnies like Penelope and Molly are totally wonderful, sweet, sensitive, cuddly and all around awesome!
