Thus far, we have four events coming up in February and March. So, if you've ever thought about volunteering for a few hours to help out at an event - we could sure use the help! It's the perfect opportunity for NEW VOLUNTEERS to learn how to talk to the public about house rabbits and CHRS. New volunteers are always paired with experienced Educators. We just ask that you be familiar with the CHRS/HRS philosophy on rabbit care and feeding, as you will represent CHRS to the public.

We wanted to get the information out to everyone now so that you can mark it on your calendar. More info will follow, so watch your e-mail, as well as this page, for further details. Also, we are flexible in scheduling people for these events - your help for even a few hours is appreciated!

As for the list of events, here is the information currently available:

Petco Adoption Event

When: Saturday, Feb 18, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Where: Columbus Convention Center, downtown Columbus

-- Volunteers needed to staff an information booth, and talk with vets, vet techs, humane society workers, students, and others who care about animals. Includes foster bunny transportation. We will create "shifts" if we get enough people.

Make Mine Chocolate Event

Where: Capital Area Humane Society, Scioto Darby Executive Court, Hilliard, OH.

--Volunteers needed to staff an information booth. We will be working with CAHS staff, CAHS volunteers, and CAHS adoptable rabbits for this event. The goal is to further the Make Mine Chocolate 2012 message and target parents/kids before Easter. We will create "shifts" if we get enough people.

If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact Julie OR Terri. Be sure to list the name and date of the event you are interested in (and hours if you can only do a partial event). I know this may be a bit difficult, since we only have partial information concerning times right now.

We appreciate your participation!
