Sharing the Joy - No Rabbit Content

My apologies for going off-topic but...

I love the Olympics. Spending hour after hour watching a bunch of people who are absolutely passionate about what they do is inspiring. But what really draws me in are those special moments when someone succeeds beyond expectations. I know - it's a cliche. But tears came to my eyes when Sasha Artemov got the job done.

In case you've been spending your time on more useful pursuits, Sasha is the American son of a former Russian gymnastic superstar. He also is known for his bad habit of choking at the wrong time. In fact, he wasn't even selected for the Olympic team but got the call when Morgan Hamm had to bow out.

The apparatus that tends to ruin his day is the pommel horse. Frankly, I don't really "get" the pommel horse. Basically, you spin your feet around while "walking" on your hands. Very strange but when done well, it's pretty cool.

So the Americans are about to lose the bronze medal and it's up to, you guessed it, Sasha on the pommel horse. And he did an amazing job.

Very cool! Ya gotta love it. The girls are on tonight. Another late night!
