Introducing Blackberry!

Now that I've talked up the rescuers, it is with great pleasure that I introduce the rescued, Ms. Blackberry. Looking at her picture, it's hard to believe she spent so much time outside. Her paws are dark but her coat is in reasonably good shape with no sign of fleas or mites. However, like Lucy, she is wobbly. And like Lucy, she takes it all in stride, spending her time re-decorating her pen. Karalee says that Blackberry has quite the personality, turning boxes upside down and otherwise making it very clear that she is not totally appreciative of her new surroundings. My hope is that she ends up with a friend to keep her company.

Although Blackberry is wobbly, she otherwise looked good at her vet visit. She is due to be spayed on Wednesday, which should settle her down a bit. Time with Karalee and Chuck will also help her to adjust to life as a house rabbit. It's quite possible that she really doesn't know what that means. We know she lived in a hutch and also lived outside. But she is a smart and gentle soul who awaits her forever home.

We are really glad you are here, Blackberry!
