Capital Area Humane Society's Celebrity Chef Special Event
Capital Area will be sponsoring the special event fundraiser, Celebrity Chef, and Columbus HRS will have a table with literature and be displaying a furnished pen set-up to show proper housing for rabbits. We will also be promoting our Make Mine Chocolate! Easter Ribbon Campaign. Below is some information about their event if you would like to attend.
Join the Capital Area Humane Society at the exclusive Huntington Club in the Ohio Stadium on Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. to experience the tastiest event of 2006.
The Huntington Club at The Ohio Stadium will be the place to be for the Fourth Annual Celebrity Chef Event, which features some of Columbus’ most honored celebrities dishing out their favorite recipes for you! Television personalities, restaurant owners, influential notables, athletes, government leaders and even those who are well-known for their publicized antics will be present. You will be able to sample our Celebrities culinary masterpieces and participate in a silent auction and raffle for an opportunity to win great prizes, with all the proceeds going to the Humane Society. Live music will also be provided by Blue Level. Marshall McPeek and Beth Dal Ponte from NBC-4 are emcees for the event.
Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

Carson the House Rabbit
CHRS set up a booth at the Midwest Veterinary Conference for the 5th time this year. One of the exhibitors, The Magic Zoo, who specializes in handmade animal jewelry, was interested in taking a picture of one of our rabbits in the pen set-up we had for display and educational purposes.
We jumped on the chance to get some publicity for house rabbits! We picked Carson, Julie Schram's foster bun, who is just adorable and very friendly. He did fabulous and showed people that rabbits really do have personalities, use the litterbox, and love to play and hang out in cottontail cottages!

Adoptions and Bondings Update 03/01/06
Melody,the big, beautiful 18 lb Flemish Giant was adopted by the Wrights. Little Libby was adopted by Emma & Nick and is bonding with Burton. Tux & Ella moved in with Jessica and Arvind and are living the high life! Claire is now sharing heart and home with Julianne & John. Winslow has moved to Sunbury and has taken over CJ's home! Monty was adopted by Jennifer and is hoping to become Peach's pal! Jimmy is now living with Tanya and is bonding with Toffee. Stuart & Charlie are two of the bunnies rescued from the barn and are happily living with the Schneider family. Butterscotch moved to Cincinnati with the Chasco's and fell in love with Oliver. Nadia was adopted by our dear rabbit vet friend Diana and bonded quickly with Cliffy. Peanut was adopted by the Voegeles and is in the bonding process with Mr. Pumpkin Bunny. Lucy moved east and is living with the Gretchen family and soon to be bun friend George. Arthur quickly won the heart of Natalie. Jeffrey, another of the rescued barn rabbits moved to Gahanna with Jodi and is bonding with Gabi. Bailey is hoping to become quick friends with Zeppelin. Mandy is now living with Marae and Gretchen and hopefully will bond with Henry.
